Massacre with the Lands/ Where are the Municipality of Tirana and the Municipal

The alarming situation on the outskirts of the capital has taken on new dimensions after the CNA's denunciation.

In addition to the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection, which went to the scene to verify the situation, the Criminal Police also arrived at the scene.

According to the information provided, the Criminal Police has kept the relevant records after ascertaining the environmental crime and is expected to register a criminal case, sending a report to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office.

While state institutions are moving, the question that remains unanswered is where the local government, the Municipality of Tirana, and the Municipal Police stand?!

How is it possible that in a Tirana where once you couldn't make even the slightest movement with a pickup truck without being checked, today heavy-duty trucks wreak havoc in broad daylight?

The Municipal Police, which has been trumpeting its cars and drones, seems to have completely abandoned control of the territory.

It is a fact that once the Municipality of Tirana, headed by Erion Veliaj, had become one with the non-existent Tirana incinerator company, serving and making its resources available to the Sharra landfill, but since the landfill's capacity has been exceeded, the municipality is doing nothing to protect the environment.

The situation becomes even more serious when it is seen that businesses are treating nature as a private landfill because the state is not offering a solution.

If the Tirana landfill does not have capacity, the government should solve the problem of soil fees, if they are high, they should sit down and talk so that construction companies do not throw soil on the side of the road or in the river, but have a special landfill for it.

IKMT, Municipal Police, State Police, Inspectorate of Territorial Protection and other institutions must be coordinated, as an isolated fine does not solve the problem. The current situation raises doubts that this abandonment of the territory may even be intentional. Albanians pay these institutions to function and not for businesses to do whatever they want in the rivers and streets of the capital./ CNA
