Election of the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo/ Today is the deadline

Today's noon is the final deadline for those aiming for the position of Democratic Party leader. According to the March 18 instruction, candidates must submit their applications by today at 12:00.

Currently, the only candidate is the current leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, who is expected to lead the largest opposition party in the country for another four years.

The candidacy for the new leader of the DP includes a series of criteria, including the obligation to be a member of the DP with a high public and political profile, as well as a commitment to the party of at least 10 years.

Meanwhile, a day earlier, the DP announced the National Assembly meeting to be held on May 30, at 11:00. The decision to convene the Assembly was taken in support of the party's Statute and envisages discussions on the political situation in the country, the challenges of European integration, as well as issues related to the functioning of democracy and the rule of law.

The focus will also be on defining the political action line of the DP, while the presentation of statutory changes by the relevant working groups is expected. The agenda includes platforms for the digitalization and modernization of the party, as well as the organization of its structures in the diaspora. During this Assembly, members of the National Council will also be elected. /CNA
