Journalist Klodian Tomorri has spoken about the alarming situation of garbage in the capital.

Invited to the "Task Force" show, Tomorri said that today citizens pay 2.5 times more for waste than in 2015 and we are in a situation where we have mountains of garbage in different areas of the capital.

The journalist emphasized that in 2015 the citizens of Tirana paid 12 million euros for waste, while today they pay about 30 million and the incinerator does not exist.

"I don't know what was the real reason and what is Erion Veliaj's goal, but if we talk theoretically, monopolization in a single, semi-public company would make it more efficient, but I don't think they had this goal.

It seemed strange to me what Veliaj says, that we were sabotaged by one of the companies that left the service before the end of the contract, etc., what I know is that there were 3 companies that are totally connected to the majority.

In 2015, the citizens of Tirana paid 12 million euros for the entire waste management service, that is, cleaning and landfilling.

For this year, it is assumed that the figure will reach up to 30 million euros, that is, from 12 million to 30 million, it is 2.5 times.

What happened that our cost increased by 2.5 times?
