The deputy of the Socialist Party, Pandeli Majko, has expressed his reservations regarding the financial issues that affect voting abroad for immigrants.

Majko emphasized that voting abroad requires additional infrastructure, adding that the Ministry of Finance and the CEC must intervene so that the process is not blocked for financial reasons, turning the issue into politics.

"I am surprised that there was no agreement from the Ministry of Finance to add a separate directorate. This should have been foreseen. Do not put the Commission in a difficult position. The salary fund for this structure should be added. The CEC, after the approval of this directory, will implement travel for voting abroad. This will be thought about now so that we have a budget divided into phases, so that it does not fall on us like a 'bomb'. The technical process requires another procedure. Therefore, the Ministry and the CEC must continue with the phases for immigrants, so that we don't say that we have the right to vote, but we don't have the financial means. Better financial organization is required between the Ministry of Finance and the CEC. This is because there is a risk that the issue will turn into a political issue", said Majko./ CNA.al
