The President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, received today, during the meeting with the US Representative to the UN, Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, a message of thanks and gratitude from President Biden for Albania and the Albanian people for the strong cooperation in advancing relations bilateral, regional stability and global security. 

"As NATO allies, we have worked together to protect freedom and democracy around the world," President Biden said in his message.

Përballë agresionit rus kundër Ukrainës, kemi qëndruar krah për krah në Këshillin e Sigurimit të Kombeve të Bashkuara dhe kemi bashkëpunuar për rezoluta të lidhura me luftën e padrejtë dhe të paprovokuar të Rusisë si dhe për adresimin e sfidave të tjera globale. 

Presidenti Biden vlerëson ndihmën bujare të Shqipërisë për strehimin e refugjatëve ukrainas dhe afganë, si kontribut për një botë më të sigurt.

“SHBA mbetet e përkushtuar për ta ndihmuar në mënyrë domethënëse dhe të vazhdueshme Shqipërinë në forcimin e mbrojtjes kibernetike, përfshirë mbështetjen financiare dhe ngritjen e një grupi pune për sigurinë kibernetike”, theksohet në mesazh. 

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, President Biden underlines that in the coming years we wish to further deepen our strategic partnership, as well as support Albania's efforts for a greater leadership role, through the promotion of stability and energy security in the Western Balkans.
