Lala: Illegal constructions throughout Albania are an urban massacre

Journalist Klodiana Lala commented today regarding the action to demolish illegal constructions in Theth.

Invited to a television show, Lala said that throughout Albania, unauthorized construction is an urban massacre.

Lala raised questions regarding the knowledge that police institutions may have had.

"The country's Prime Minister has gone out into the field after 12 years in power and has come down to earth to understand that not only Thethi, but all of Albania is a massacre of illegal construction.

Thethi is a protected park where construction should not have been allowed, an urban massacre that is happening all over Albania.

The church lawn was bought by a criminal, Prekë Kodra, wanted by SPAK, suspected of carrying out an assassination attempt on the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti. The pensioner lady who owned the property claimed that she had built these villas herself, but that claim does not hold up, because a villa costs 35-40 thousand euros and I do not know how she made this by selling 300 heads of cattle, because from the information I have, the lady did not even receive the money.

Mayor Benet Beci went to this criminal's properties because he needed votes, took pictures, and posted them on Facebook as if Thethi was being developed, when in fact it was being destroyed.

There are definitely people who are affected, residents who have invested their entire lives to build a wooden house.

If we go to customary law, a criminal cannot be made a hospitable host. Residents must be made aware that it cannot be built in this way, but with rules and laws. But the majority that needed the votes allowed them to do this barbarity. Mr. Rama created an artificial tension between the government and the Shkodra prosecutor's office, for prosecutor Elsa Gjeli there is no violation. She has received a referral from the police and has done all the paperwork. IMT has said that there is no concrete there.

He ruined it by saying that there is a package for the mountains there and Rama and IMT lied and turned a blind eye, sending the prosecutor a letter saying that there is no concrete and this is a state crime.

"How is it possible that the Director General of Police, Ilir Proda, was unaware? Does he have minimal moral responsibility, not to mention legal responsibility, for not checking the construction in that area that is very visible? There have been threats against the people who have denounced him," said Lala./CNA
