The former member of the KLA, Dritan Goxhaj, spoke after his release from the cell by the decision of the Court of Appeal.

He said his imprisonment was an attempt to scare him. With today's decision, Goxhaj says that it shows that he is on the right path.

"I want to tell you that we had never lost our freedom, neither me nor the KLA nor the others who are in The Hague, it was an attempt to scare us and to tell us that we were not on the right path. Today we managed to show you again that we are on the right path and we have fought rightly", said Goxhaj.

The Court of Appeal refused the extradition to The Hague of the former KLA fighter, Dritan Goxhaj, in the session held this Tuesday morning.

The appeal decided to release Goxhajn from prison, thus overturning the decision of the First Instance.

We recall that the former soldier of the KLA, Dritan Goxhaj, was arrested on July 31 by the Albanian authorities in Tirana, on behalf of the Special Court of Kosovo, which had declared him wanted. 

The Special Court of Kosovo accuses Goxhaj of making public the names of witnesses in several cases opened earlier by the Special Prosecutor's Office of Kosovo./ CNA
