The ambassador of Israel in Tirana, Galit Peleg, spoke about the current state of the war in Israel.

Peleg has stated that for 30 years, the Palestinians have been pressured to sit down for negotiations and reach an agreement, but they insist that they come to negotiations with preconditions.

"For 30 years, we have been pressuring the Palestinians to come to negotiations, to reach an agreement. Even 3 years ago, we invited the Palestinians, but they insist that they come to negotiations with preconditions. In negotiations, everything is put on the table. They are working on two levels, at the negotiating table and sending terrorist attacks to see Israel's resistance. I don't think a normal person, Palestinian or Israeli, would justify such acts.

They know that we are a strong people. To see how Israel is today and yesterday, we will help all the victims, the wounded, by helping with food. We must advance to live together as neighbors and we must do this through negotiations. Netanyahu has called for negotiations, we do not support violence. Violence is the only way for terrorists.

Among other things, in an interview for the show "Open", the ambassador called on the government to consider Hamas a terrorist organization at every level.

"I have to say that I am amazed by the support we have received from Albania, at all political levels. My phone has exploded with messages from members of parliament, parties, business leaders, journalists or citizens.

I would ask the government what we have asked other friendly countries to respect Israel's right to defend itself. We are a democratic country, we do not behave like those barbarians who attack Israel.

Let's make sure that Hamas is considered terrorist by Albania at every level. Do not negotiate, and do not allow the transfer of money to this organization", said the ambassador./ CNA
