The "Beleri" case, the Durrës Court declares incompetence

The Court of Durrës has declared incompetence for the "Beleri" case, as the latter requested his release from prison to be sworn in as the head of the Himara Municipality. 

Thus, Beleri did not earn the right to leave. The request for the oath was assigned to judge Rexhep Bekteshi, who will send it to the Supreme Court for consideration.

We remind you that the elected mayor of Himara was arrested on May 12 and is accused of buying votes in the local elections. His two requests made to the Supreme Court for the relief of the security measure have not been taken into account.

The arrest of Fredi Beleri has also brought the reaction of the official Athens, which has called on the Albanian authorities to release him from the cell.
