Prime Minister Edi Rama gave a speech at the evening of the sports stars, from where he declared that Albania has overcome an extremely difficult stage in terms of sports, as previously the sports champions ran away and competed with other flags.

Rama has stated that today it is guaranteed that this will never happen again, as the government has supported the athletes.

The number one of the government said that all athletes who achieve more modest results, national titles are rewarded and included in a system which ensures that even after the end of the sports activity they have an honorable place in society.

Rama recalled that athletes already have salaries and pensions and have been given high ranks, not counting that the rewards for our athletes who bring medals to our country are among the highest in Europe.

Among other things, the Prime Minister emphasized that a few days ago, support was given to the AFL for the preparation for the European Championship.

"We have overcome an extremely difficult and undignified phase for all of us, for our state, for the government, for the community, for the federations.

At that stage, those champions we had either ran away and entered the competition for other flags or did not achieve any results with the Albanian flag and were left without support.

Today it is guaranteed that this will never happen again. All athletes who achieve more modest results, national titles are rewarded and included in a system which ensures that even after the end of the sports activity they have an honorable place in society.

Being involved in the FA, having high ranks, which are symbolic that they do not exercise the activities of lieutenant colonels or colonels, they have matched their salaries and pensions.
