The member of the PD presidency, Arben Ristani, during an interview for "Zone Zero", spoke about the way in which the candidates for the local elections will be selected.

He says that the Democratic Party is open to choose the best figures of each city, who can bring victory to the opposition in these elections.

According to Ristan, the primaries mechanism is the right one, because only through voting can democracy work within the party, but also in the country.

He also does not exclude the possibility that the proposals of allies are valid, in case they propose a figure who enjoys respect in his area. 

"Nobody in the minority can choose, the one with the majority of votes has more rights. That's how it works in a democracy.

We have done this, that we introduced the possibility even for supporters who want to vote. They can register and come to vote. Of course, if there is a candidate from among them who enjoys respect in the city where he lives, the Democrats are definitely open, since the Democrats want to win. If there was such a figure from the allies, we are open. But this will be done only by vote. "
