The Court of Kurbini has set the security measure of "prison arrest" for citizen Kristjan Cenaj, who was arrested on October 10 for the murder of 16-year-old Mariglen Gjonaj. 

Today's session with closed doors lasted about 1 hour and a half, where family members of the suspected author were also present outside the premises of the court. 

The murder took place in 2015, while Kristjan Cenaj ended up in the handcuffs of the police as soon as he landed at Rinas airport. 


We remind you that yesterday the Police confirmed and proved that the 16-year-old Mariglen Gjonaj, who had been declared missing for a long time, was killed and the perpetrator was caught. 

The Director of the Local Police of the Lezha Police, Vehbi Bushati, has stated to the media that during the biological examination of the bones found and the bone remains that were found a short time ago, it was proven that they belonged to those who disappeared 7 years ago, the minors 16- year-old Mariglen Gjonaj.

After the investigations, the perpetrator Kristjan Cenaj (30 years old) was identified, and it is suspected that the latter killed the 16-year-old to take a Rolex watch, which has a considerable value. 

So the Director of the Lezha Police has stated that the 30-year-old has not admitted the guilt, but the Police and the prosecution have enough evidence for his punishment./CNA.al
