The head of the parliament of Canada opens the parliamentary session/ Rota

The parliamentary session was opened today by the Speaker of the Parliament of Canada, Antony Rota, who delivered a speech.

He said that Albania and Kandaja have many opportunities to cooperate.

 "Canada and Albania have opportunities to cooperate. Gender equality and women's empowerment are important. like-minded businesses should work together. As a parliamentarian, I feel shock but also admiration as our colleagues in Ukraine, as soon as the session ends, take up arms to defend the territory. Ukraine is defending freedom and their example should serve us all. Canada has been very engaged in this issue. The first step to finding peace is dialogue," said Rota.

Among other things, he also focused on Albania's role in the region.

"Canada and Albania established diplomatic relations, your country helped stabilize the region. Albania has worked hard to strengthen relations with its neighbors, with the 'Open Balkan' initiative. We have a lot of things to be proud of", he said further. /CNA.al
