The head of SPAK, Arben Kraja, in an interview for "Voice of America" ??said that the issue of the incinerator affair is under investigation. According to him, this is something very complex, as several institutions are involved.

According to Kraja, the investigations will continue to the end for the Tirana incinerator and every high official who violated the law will be held accountable.

“Çështja e inceneratorëve është komplekse sepse janë përfshirë shumë institucione që kanë qenë pjesë e këtij aktiviteti është një volum i madh pune. Ne kemi 3 hetime penale për tre inveneratorë, Elbasanin, Fierin dhe Tiranën.  

Për dy të parët në kemi arritur disa konkluzione, që janë publike. Kemi ngritur përgjegjësi penale për disa persona, përfshire edhe zyrtarë, dhe hetimet për inceneratorin e Tiranës do të vazhdojnë deri në fund për të sqaruar se cfarë ka ndodhur dhe do përgjigjet kushdo që ka shkelur ligjin”, tha Kraja.
