Incinerators/Balla "shut up" for Ahmatej: We do not comment on issues that are under investigation

The chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party, Taulant Balla, has answered the question of the journalists, regarding a possible implication of the former Minister of Finance and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj in the affair of the incinerators.

Balla has stated that the judiciary must do its job and that they do not comment on issues that are under investigation.

 "The Assembly has given its opinion to the Special Committee. The position was given to SPAK. It is not binding but it is an opinion. The media must respect the independence of the prosecution. Justice will go to the end of this matter. Any interference from our side is not good for independence. I think we should let justice take its course. The power of the media is not unlimited. We do not comment on matters that are under investigation. When a charge is filed, I take the prosecution to the court to investigate. This should be the standard", said Balla./ CNA.al
