Suspended from duty and subject to mandatory reporting/ Jonaid Myzyri appeals

The Head of the KPP, Jonaid Myzyri, has appeared in the Appeals Chamber of the Kosovo Criminal Court to appeal the security measure of mandatory appearance and suspension from duty.

The Special Court imposed the mandatory security measure of appearance on the head of the KPP, Jonaid Myzyri, a measure requested by SPAK.

The imposed measure includes "Suspension of the exercise of a public duty or service", provided for by Article 242 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, as well as that of personal security of a coercive nature, "Obligation to report to the judicial police", provided for by Article 234 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

The object of this criminal proceeding was the prosecution procedure, with no. REF-65268-07-13-2020, “Lot V: “Routine maintenance with performance of the Rrëshen (Fanit Bridge) – Shpal, Shpal – Q. Bene – Hadroj, Shpal – Repsit Bridge” road, with a limit fund of 219,866,693 lekë excluding VAT, developed on 18.9.2020, with the contracting authority Albanian Road Authority (ARRSH).

For this procurement procedure, the defendants were: JM, V.Zh., LS, MZ, EB, VH, GA, and AH, suspected of committing the criminal offense: "Violation of equality of participants in tenders or public auctions", committed in collaboration, provided for by articles 258 and 25 of the Criminal Code, as well as citizens; ML, NK, and AK, suspected of committing the criminal offense "Forgery of seals, stamps or forms", provided for by article 190 of the Criminal Code./ CNA
