45 fires in 24 hours/ Details, situation in problematic areas

During the last 24 hours, 45 fires have been identified, of which 21 are still active, 16 are under monitoring and 8 have been extinguished.

- In the place called "Flower Lake", part of the Lura National Park, the Hotspot called Gropa e Madhe and Pllau i Gjurës above the village of Gurë-Lura Zjarri continues to be active, where there are about 50 forces from operational structures.

- In the village of Zall Gjoçaj, the Mat municipality has continued work to extinguish the fire that has spread over 14 km, with developments in three directions: from Masdeja, which includes a significant area in the forests, in Qafa e Tollës, as well as in the place called Fush Kuqe, where about 46 forces from operational structures operated on the ground.

- In Qafë Buall, Bulqizë Municipality, the fire has spread towards the Old Town area, the village of Plan i Bardhë and towards Krasta. 120 forces from operational structures have been engaged in the fire extinguishing operation and 2 helicopters have intervened. The situation is calmer and urban areas are not at risk. 6 apartments have been evacuated

- On the heights of the mountain above the village of Kalasë, Delvinë municipality, the operation has continued with all structures, assisted by 58 personnel and 4 firefighting vehicles of the Armed Forces. There are fires between the villages of Borsh, Piqeras. Sasaj, the administrative unit of Lukovë, there are 4 fires separated from each other but at a height and without any possibility of intervention with people and vehicles. The wind helps the flames spread rapidly. There is air intervention in the early hours of the morning.

- The fire that engulfed the villages of Kalas - Tatzat - Senicë - Vergo - Kopaçëz - Palavli, in the municipality of Delvinë, is currently actively burning in the village of Kopaçëz in the mountains, where around 70 forces from all operational structures, a car, an ambulance and a Cougar helicopter are engaged.

- In the Shmil area in the village of Lugaxhi, Elbasan municipality, work to extinguish the fire has continued with the engagement of around 50 forces from operational structures in the field.

- In the area behind the Lisec mountain, Gramsh Municipality, the fire that has been active since yesterday evening has been largely isolated in difficult terrain for the intervention of operational forces. The fire is superficial and without damage, because the forest is very high.

- In the Shkopet area, Milot administrative unit, the fire continues to burn, the source of which has also spread to the territory of the Mirditë municipality. The most active part of the source has spread to the area of the dividing border between the Kurbin-Mirditë-Mat municipalities, above the heights of the village of Lurth, where about 80 local forces from the Kurbin and Mirditë municipalities have been engaged. There is no danger to homes.

- In the villages of Kulmë and Fang, Mirditë municipality, a fire in a forest area has reached large proportions, favored by extreme temperatures and strong winds. In the village of Fang, firefighters, the forest service, municipal forces and volunteers assisted by 80 military forces in total with 3 vehicles and about 40 municipal forces operated.

- In the place called Qeramica between the villages of Trestenik-Vishocicë in the Devoll municipality, a fire has been activated, which due to the wind risks spreading, as the place where it is located is covered with grass and bushes.

- In the village of Krichkovë, Pogradec municipality, operational forces are on the ground to bring the situation under control.

- A fire has broken out in the Prespa National Park, Lajthizë village, Pustec Municipality. A total of 60 operational forces were activated to extinguish the fire, while 75 operational forces are expected to be deployed today.

- In the village of Galinë, Berat municipality, the fire is active and the local Fire Department Service of the Berat municipality has gone to the scene.

- In the fire that broke out in the village of Fushëbardhë and near the Skërfica tunnel, Gjirokastër municipality, which came from the territory of the Delvinë municipality, from an area at high altitude, about 60 forces of operational structures were deployed, but the fire is advancing towards a place called Bregu i Pamjes, a protected area and air intervention is expected.

- The fire in the village of Izvor i Vjetër and in the village of Duraj, Memaliaj municipality, continues to be active. The fire has been isolated and extinguished in the villages of Levan, Bardhj, Xhafaj, Administrative Unit of Krahës.

- Work continues to extinguish the fire that broke out in Mali me Gropa, Tirana municipality, on an area of about 30 ha of pasture and forest. About 55 forces from operational structures participated in the operation. A person suspected of arson has been arrested.

- In the village of Ibë, Tirana Municipality, a fire broke out in difficult terrain with impassable roads for firefighting vehicles. The operation involved: 2 helicopters of the Armed Forces, 6 vehicles and 25 forces from the operational structure.

- In the village of Shetel, Shijak Municipality, a fire has broken out in a forest area. Around 40 forces from operational structures have been deployed to the scene. Air intervention is expected.

- The Municipality of Malësi e Madhe is active in the area called "Rraze Veshtit". 35 forces from all operational structures have been engaged in the operation to isolate and extinguish this fire. The terrain is quite difficult, it is not possible to intervene with firefighting vehicles.
