Fires in Prespa Park/ How is the situation in the Korça region?

Details from the firefighting operations in the Korça region. Here is the situation in Bulgarec, Dishnicë village.

The fire remains active in several isolated pockets in the area between the villages of Dishnicë and Barç. Extinguishing operations are being carried out from favorable positions on the ground, while the Çardhak area is being carefully verified to avoid the risk of spread.

The outbreaks are under control, neutralized and being monitored.

Situation in Prespa National Park, Pustec Municipality

The rugged terrain and wind make direct intervention difficult. Two small pockets of fire have been identified under the rocks. The forces are divided into specialized groups and equipped with equipment suitable for this terrain. Aerial surveillance with drones continues uninterrupted.

Strelce Village, Adm. Unit Gore, Maliq Municipality

The fire has been neutralized. Currently, 60 forces are on the ground for continuous monitoring and control of the area, in order to prevent any possible reactivation of the fires./ CNA
