A sea cleanup campaign was held on Saturday in Porto Palermo. Various waste such as glass bottles, plastic, various product packaging and tires were retrieved from the depths of the sea.
Divers have conducted a dive with the mission of cleaning the depths of the sea in one of the most stunning beaches in southern Albania, that of "Porto Palermo".
The pollution in these waters was 2000 years old. The sea cleanup was a symbolic and significant act, involving over 150 volunteers and dedicated divers. The president of the Albanian Diving Federation, Igli Pustina, was also involved.
The extremely high water pollution in Porto Palermo and beyond serves as a call to awaken collective consciousness and care for nature, which deserves special attention.
Cleaning the sea and the surrounding area is not just a physical job, but an act of awareness, a message of love for nature and a promise for the future./ CNA
