Assassination of a couple in Lezha/Hita: RENEA continues to conduct checks today, the perpetrators are still at large

The Director of the State Police, Skënder Hita, published today new details regarding the assassination attempt that occurred a few weeks ago in Balldren, Lezha, where the victims were the married couple, Kreshnik and Gentjana Mujeci.

In a press conference, Hita stated that several checks were carried out this Thursday morning.

According to Hita, the controls carried out by the RENEA special forces have not yet resulted in the capture of the perpetrators of the double crime.

"The police have made direct communication since the first moments. The investigations have continued this morning, we have carried out several checks with the RENEA special forces, but it has not yet been possible to capture the perpetrators," said Hita. /CNA
