The family of the 13-year-old who was the victim of the tragic accident in Durrës have tearfully confessed their pain and are demanding justice for the loss of their son.

In an interview for Top Channel, Ermal Muçaj, the father of the 13-year-old, tearfully recounts the days without his son.

"Running away, moving, now it's cut off my arms. These days I spend because when I go out on every corner it seems like he's calling me: 'Dad, why don't you pick me up?'. I'll come, Dad, I tell him, I'll come. So I have no comments. What else can I say? I speak, I see him everywhere on every corner, it comes out. 'Why don't you pick me up, Dad?!', he says to me. I'll come, I tell him. He just calls me," said father Ermal Muçaj.

Muçaj talks about the dreams his son had, who lost his life in the tragic accident of May 3.

"I would see him smiling and say, 'Hey, dad, are you going to be like your dad?'. 'Yes,' he would say. 'I'm going to do it professionally, I'll come with you to help,' he would say. Mechanic... He was very passionate..", he confessed through tears.

Ermal Muçaj has pointed the finger of responsibility at the institutions after stating that they had repeatedly denounced the perpetrator of the accident, Nikollë Radaçi.

"I didn't owe the man anything and I don't know. I don't know how... it would have been prevented with 100 signatures. We spent months, months and months receiving reports, phone calls from all the residents of the neighborhood. Even the police came, laughing... a funny thing," he said.

He emphasizes that the driver was driving drunk the entire time, in an uncontrollable manner, and says that corrupt police officers let him go free.

"It was everyday, everyday. Cork. It was uncontrollable, but the corrupt policemen left it, drank coffee and turned the page."

We would say to the institutions: you are not letting our children pass on the road, you are crushing them on the sidewalk. Now you have not built any parks. Where can we leave our children? Just tell us this, where can we leave them?...", said the father./ CNA
