The date of the court session against Erion Veliaj at the GJKKO is set.

The new judicial body at the Special Court has set the date for the court session against the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj. 

It is learned that the session will be held on May 26, at 10:00.

On Tuesday morning, the trio of judges who will try the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, and the 10 other defendants involved in the case were appointed: Ajola Xoxa, Meriman Palushi, Gentian Sula, Sokol Kryeziu, Shkëlqim Fusha, Erald Simixhiu, Linda Kazani, Ina Goxhaj, Flutura Xhani and Valmir Xoxa.

The draw at the GJKKO appointed Judge Elsa Ulliri as presiding judge, Flora Hajredini and Besmir Stroka as members, to adjudicate the case.

The file was divided into two factions during the session on April 27, after the court accepted the request of 11 defendants who requested a shortened trial: Elman Abule, Fatmir Bektashi, Frosina Bollo, Mirton Lika, Adela Kondakçiu, Klotilda Bushka and Fatjon Baci./CNA
