A denunciation was made yesterday in the media of Kosovo regarding the ownership of "Klan Kosova" television.
According to "Kosova News", this television company that owns this turns out to be registered in Macedonia as an investment from Serbia, with the address "Djakovica, Serbia".
One day after this denunciation was made, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Enterprise has suspended the business certificate of "Klan Kosova" television.
Through an announcement to the media, the Ministry declares that a criminal report has been submitted to the Department of Serious Crimes for this television, with the suspicion of misuse of official duties and misuse of economic authorizations.
Full statement:
The Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade has initiated a criminal complaint in the Department of Serious Crimes within the Police of the Republic of Kosovo, against the Trading Company "KLAN KOSOVA" LLC, the responsible officials from the Business Registration Agency and the responsible persons of the company, under the suspicion of misuse of official duties, as well as misuse of economic authorizations.
Based on the legal acts, the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade, namely the Kosovo Business Registration Agency, has also decided to suspend the business certificate of the Trading Company "KLAN KOSOVA" LLC, until another decision. For the ARBK's decision, the party, namely the owner of the Trading Company "KLAN KOSOVA" LLC, was invited to a meeting and notified.
The media reports during these days about this issue have highlighted well-founded suspicions about the possible misuse of the official position of the employees in the Kosovo Business Registration Agency, which operates within the Ministry of Industry, Entrepreneurship and Trade. As a result, MINT has made all the necessary commitments and immediately took measures to clarify the situation internally. According to the data revealed by the entire registration process and then other sales transactions of the Trading Company "KLAN KOSOVA" LLC, there are serious suspicions of misuse of official duties by ARBK officials, but also suspicions of misuse of economic authorizations by responsible persons of the company.
Therefore, in order to properly address the responsibilities, MINT has submitted a criminal report to the Department of Serious Crimes within the Police of the Republic of Kosovo so that the truth about this matter can be proven in the court process and the potential abusers will answer before the justice bodies according to legal regulations in force.
MINT expresses full confidence that the Department of Serious Crimes within the Police of the Republic of Kosovo will act quickly, efficiently and without hesitation and waits with maximum attention for giving and receiving the actions of this report according to the relevant procedure.
Every action of the Department of Serious Crimes within the Police in compliance with the law, is a response to the abusers and the persons responsible for taking actions contrary to the legal provisions.
MINT expresses its full readiness to support all the activities of the Department of Serious Crimes during this investigation and to provide any explanation that will be deemed necessary to reveal the full truth about this matter./ CNA.al
