The Director General of the State Police, Chief Madhor Muhamet Rrumbullaku, conducted a working visit to the Police of Montenegro. Rrumbullaku was received by the director of the Montenegrin police, Nikola Terzic, and his colleagues.
The meeting of officials at the international level dates back to 2012 and this type of cooperation between Montenegro and Albania takes place every year.
The Directorate of Police of Montenegro and the Directorate of Police of Albania signed a protocol for cooperation during the tourist season, for the year 2023.
During the signing ceremony of the protocol, the General Director of the Albanian Police appreciated the cooperation between the two police forces and the readiness to strengthen this cooperation even during the tourist season, as it has also cooperated in areas of common interest.

"The engagement of Albanian Police officers on the Montenegrin coast will contribute significantly, not only to Albanian citizens feeling safer, but also Montenegrins and citizens of other countries staying in Montenegro during the tourist season", he said.
Nikola Terzic expressed his special satisfaction for the successfully implemented activities in the fight against drug smuggling, which were successfully implemented in the previous periods.
"The Montenegrin police remains committed to strengthening regional cooperation, because only with joint action and exchange of operational information, the fight against organized criminal groups can achieve concrete results", he said.

This meeting was an opportunity for Mr. Terzic and for Mr. Rumbullaku, to discuss some topics and, among others, issues of concrete cooperation in the fight against organized crime, smuggling, illegal immigration and human trafficking.
There are many areas in which the Police of Montenegro and Albania cooperate, and it was agreed that in the coming period operational meetings of the two police services will be held, with the aim of carrying out concrete activities in the field of the fight against smuggling and immigration. illegal.

The two directors agreed that the law enforcement services of Montenegro and Albania are ready to deal with all forms of organized crime and cross-border crime.
