The Ministry of Culture pays 45 million ALL to the non-existent incinerator of

After the municipalities, the ministries are also collecting money in the Sharra landfill accounts. 45 million lek was paid by the Ministry of Culture for the non-existent incinerator of Klodian Zoto in Sharre at the end of May. This money was paid on the grounds that in this landfill, the ministry deposited inerts from a construction project. On the other hand, in the same period, the municipality of Durrës paid 200 million ALL to Klodian Zoto's incinerator for the disposal of urban waste.

The urban waste landfill in Sharre is turning into a sinkhole for state budget money.

After the municipalities and the Waterworks of Tirana, the Ministry of Culture has also started paying money for the Klodian Zoto landfill. During the end of May, specifically, on May 30 of this year, the Ministry of Culture made four payments on account of the Sharra landfill, with a total amount of 45 million ALL.

These invoices, according to the tables provided by the State Treasury, appear to have been paid because the Ministry of Culture has carried out the deposit of inerts for the construction project of the multifunctional center near the National Film Center, based on an agreement signed on 4 May 2023. But it remains unclear why the Ministry of Culture has chosen to deposit inert materials in the Klodian Zoto Landfill, which has a license for the treatment of urban waste.

Also, it remains to be clarified if the inerts deposited in this landfill by the Ministry of Culture are then used as a layer for composting the urban waste deposited by the municipalities of Tirana and Durrës in Sharre.

On the other hand, after the elections, it seems that the municipalities have also settled the case for the Sharra incinerator, since only the Durrës municipality, on May 31, transferred to the account of the non-existent Tirana incinerator, a total of 200 million lek for the disposal of urban waste./ TV eye
