Crackdown on fraudulent "Call Centers" in Tirana / Details from the

An operation to crack down on Call Centers that engage in illegal activities in the field of computer fraud was conducted a day ago in the capital.

According to reports, during the police checks, over 80 operators were found inside the office premises and questioned. 

Also, from the details revealed so far, it is learned that 7 security measures "arrest in prison" and 2 "ban on leaving the country" have been imposed. It is suspected that millions of euros have been taken from European citizens through fraud.

It is reported that police have seized thousands of euros in cash, electronic equipment, including computers, servers, USBs and camera systems, which are suspected of being used to carry out criminal activity.

Among other things, it is reported that the operation was carried out by order of the Tirana Prosecutor's Office, and in cooperation with Austrian authorities. An official announcement from the Prosecutor's Office is awaited for further details. /CNA
