From Sami Frashër's grave in Istanbul, his great-grandson Gjergj Luca has sent a strong message to the Turkish and Albanian governments.

Luca has asked to bring home the remains of the revivalist Sami Frashëri.

Luca says that Sami Frashëri has a better place in Albania than in Istanbul.

Greetings from Istanbul. I could not leave Istanbul without coming and greeting this great man at the Istanbul cemetery. I am reviving this part of my family's blood, because as you know, my mother was Frashëri's granddaughter. Through this video, I want to sensitize the Albanian government, so that there is an opportunity for the remains of this renaissance man, this great man who contributed to Albania, but also contributed a lot to Turkey, this man who, with his enlightened mind with his studies and He fought to take the Turkish nation and Turkish culture from the East to the West. It has also done for our Albania without fail.

My friends, the Frashëri brothers, these great men of our nation who have spared nothing to do for our nation. This part, which is a pride in our nation, they did not manage to escape from the hordes of all the dogs, cadets, and pseudo-patriots for a century or so in a row.
