"Giro d'Italia" in Albania/ Here are the axes where traffic is

A map has been made public with the axes on which traffic is restricted in Durrës as part of the "Giro d'Italia".

For the first time in Albania, the "Giro d'Italia" will take place on May 9, 10 and 11. Durrës, Tirana and Vlora will host 180 professional cyclists.

 

The segments in which traffic is restricted are as follows:

 

- Parking ban

Date 08.05.2025, time 07:00 – 09.05.2025, time 14:00

Road segments:

* “Mars 91” Street (from Ligurnika Street to Orthodox Church Street)

* “Taulantia” Street (from the former “Volgga” hotel to the “Arvi” hotel)

* “Anastas Durrsaku” Street (from the former “Volga” hotel to the “Gjergj Kastrioti” high school)

* Castle Street (from “Old Mill” to “Sotir Noka” Street)

- Parking ban

Date 08.05.2025, time 07:00 – 09.05.2025, time 18:00

Public parking lot of the “Taulantia” promenade (behind the “Piazza” restaurant)

Traffic and parking ban

Date: 09.05.2025, time 05:00 – 14:00

* “Egnatia” Street (from Orthodox Church Street to “Taulantia” – “Arvi” Hotel)

* Segment: Venetian Tower – Epidamn Boulevard – “Liberty” Square – “Aleksandër Goga” Street – Martyrs' Mausoleum

* Martyrs' Street – "Adria" Street – Dajlan Bridge – "Independence" Street (from Dajlan Bridge to the Cavalry Canal)

The announcement clarifies that vehicles belonging to the police, emergency services, firefighters, the Durrës Municipal Services Enterprise, the Plazh Municipal Enterprise and the Rruga Enterprise will be exempt from the regulation, which will be allowed to circulate normally./ CNA
