Journalist Klodiana Lala has stated that if Erion Veliaj's dismissal remains in force after the review of the appeal by the Constitutional Court, then it is estimated that in February-March 2026 we could have a new date for the local by-elections.

"It is estimated that there will be a new date sometime in February-March of next year, provided that Veliaj's dismissal remains in force. If he is dismissed, we will not have elections at all, which in my opinion will not happen. I do not expect the Constitutional Court to declare Veliaj's dismissal unconstitutional," the journalist said on MCN TV.
