Journalist: Veliaj does not go to the Criminal Court, but to the Administrative

Journalist Poli Hoxha described as absurd the fact that the arrested mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, does not go to his trial at the Special Court, but chooses to pursue the case against prosecutor Ols Dado at the Administrative Court.

In a television studio, Hoxha emphasized that Veliaj's choice is all about the weakness of what deals with the prosecutor, with his life, with the details that do not lead to anything concrete.  

On the other hand, Hoxha added that Veliaj himself is getting out of the focus of the issue against him, as he deals with garbage or the capital's schools.

"They deal with everything else, like Rama who deals with canals or raki museums and not with the real problems that municipalities have. Even in the case of Veliaj or politicians who have to do with GJKKO or SPAK, they deal with everything else, except their case and why they are there. The absurdity goes so far that Veliaj does not go to his own session, where the trial at GJKKO has started, but goes to the Administrative. He leaves his cell and goes to a trial about how the procedure of the prosecutor who accused him was carried out. All this is in the shadow of what he deals with the prosecutor, with his life, with the details and so far we have not heard anything concrete from him. He says Tirana was left with garbage and without schools as if the prosecution is to blame for this, and does not deal with who is guilty or not. And the judge himself told him that he is getting out of focus of the case", - said Hoxha. /CNA
