The police of Shkodra has made the work balance of 2 weeks.

It should be noted that in total 3 citizens were processed in a free state and 3 citizens were processed in a free state.

Please note that due to the holiday, the Shkodër Police has increased readiness and vigilance in order to guarantee safety.

Police notification:

Road Police Services have increased readiness and vigilance, in order to prevent road accidents and traffic management, due to the increased flow of vehicles, on the eve of the end-of-year holidays.

Also, they continuously monitor the road axes in the city centers, but not only, with modern logistics equipment, logged and unlogged, in order to highlight violations that are the source of accidents, as well as wrong parking that becomes an obstacle to traffic in the city.   

As a result of the controls, during two weeks: 3 citizens were prosecuted for the criminal offense "Irregular driving of vehicles".

Also, as a result of the monitoring of the road axes of the district, with increased services and modern logistics equipment, a total of 1926 drivers were administratively punished, specifically divided into:

• 1018 drivers were punished for speeding over the allowed rates;

• 221 vehicle drivers were punished for wrong passing;

• 68 drivers were punished for using mobile phones while driving;

• 26 motor vehicle drivers were punished for not wearing a protective helmet;

• 108 vehicle drivers were punished for not wearing seat belts;

• 409 vehicle drivers were punished for stopping or stopping the vehicle, in violation of road signs.

The increased controls by the Police will continue, in all urban, interurban and rural road axes, as well as using all the simultaneous logistic means, in order to increase the parameters of road safety.

The Traffic Police of DVP Shkodër appeals to all drivers to strictly follow the traffic rules, not to make wrong passes, not to use mobile phones and not to drive under the influence of alcohol or in a drunken state. CNA
