Today at 11:00 a.m. the court session will be held against former Prime Minister Sali Berisha, who is accused of passive corruption in connection with the "Partizani" file.

SPAK has requested a toughening of the security measure by compulsory submission to house arrest with police supervision.

A day ago, the defense lawyers of the former prime minister requested the exclusion from the trial of judge Irena Gjoka, submitting evidence that she was dismissed in 1996 from the KD where Berisha was the president.

We recall that in the parliamentary session of December 21, the Assembly cleared the way for SPAK to arrest Berisha, by voting to remove his immunity as a deputy.

Amidst the tensions, the majority which secured the votes of the seal group voted in favor of removing the immunity.

On the other hand, the opposition protested outside the parliament against what they call the regime./ CNA
