A police action on Sunday revealed contraband goods in the cosmetics business, "Global Cosmetics & Distribution".

The police announced that about 3,000 different cosmetic products, which were contraband, were found in business premises in Tirana.

The Blues seized 60 shampoos, 20 hair masks, 260 hair dyes, as well as 32 hair creams. Tea Karanxha and Ergys Mezin were also announced as wanted.

Beyond smuggling, another problem lies in the fact that the seized products are used in cosmetics.

No one guarantees us that these products are within the standards and healthy.

This case that they have caught contraband cannot simply be that they caught a few cans of shampoo, soap or cosmetic products.

The essence of the matter is the fact that these products may be out of standard, they have not been checked, they have not passed the border points, they have no certifications and they are taken and sold as if they are in order.

The problem is not that someone was caught with contraband products, but the fact that they are uncontrolled, it is not known what kind of route they entered the market, it is not known where they were taken, in what factory they are produced.

There are thousands of fake products and fake manufacturers on the market today, and then there may be health consequences. 

The consequences start from hair burning, hair loss, various skin infections, leading to skin tumors.

In this case, those who suffer the consequences are the citizens, who, in addition to the health damage they may have, also have financial costs for unsafe products./ CNA
