The "Partizani" case/ Brisida Shehaj: Indictment for the shameful
Economy expert Brisida Shehaj

Economy expert Brisida Shehaj has commented on the details of the SPAK indictment for opposition leader Sali Berisha, who is accused of passive corruption in the "Partizani" case.

Shehaj stated in front of Malltez that SPAK's indictment for Mr. Berisha's health expenses is shameful, as any child would do such a thing.

While further, he addressed some questions to Ms. Argita Malltezi regarding the foundation of Ms. Liri Berisha, where Malltezi claimed that her mother did not receive any payment or honorarium.

The conversation between Brisida Shehaj and Argita Malltez

"When you have an indictment, it is written briefly, what was found, and the evidence. Here are 500 pages... here it is mentioned that Ndea Prendi was also the person you sent money to from Kosovo."

Malltezi: Because Ndrea Prendi and the entire escort group that worked in the Guard were my neighbors and we were in Kosovo and I sent money to someone by bank to do what needed to be done in the palace.

Shehaj: SPAK says, Gjici buys the apartment, Argita received 1170 euros rent even after the apartment was sold.

Maltezi: This is untrue, we mentioned...

Shehaj: Sali Berisha traveled to Vienna with citizen Bari Hodaj, who was the person who returned the property. I mean, this gentleman is a specialist and Berisha had to take him to Vienna.

Malltezi: This was the most beautiful thing... This person was appointed by the Socialist Party, chosen by the majority in Parliament. He happened to travel to Vienna. He must have been fired 2-3 months later because the law on the AKKP came into effect.

Shehaj: What I see is talk about the payments that Mr. Malltezi received for the expertise, the studies he did for Homeplan. Please, is there an investigation in this investigation file where the SPAK tells you, this one received 80,000 euros here, but this gentleman billed other subjects lower? So it has been established that these invoices are fictitious?

Maltezi: Absolutely not.

Shehaj: I stand by the former prime minister and the former president who ran my country and I want to know, is Mr. Sali Berisha corrupt. There are only two moments in the file. The first one is shameful in fact, because I pay health expenses when my parents need it, like every child, I believe every Albanian would live without bread and pay the expenses of the poor and I don't want to touch it because this is shameful.

We heard that Mrs. Berisha has a foundation. Albanian businessmen went to compete and millions of euros were spent on the purchase of paintings. I learned from you that Mrs. Berisha has never received a salary or honorarium from the foundation. Is this statement of yours true, for the whole period all the time?

Maltezi: Once upon a time. He has never received any kind of payment.

Shehaj: In the indictment it was also mentioned that you gave money to the foundation and this is called a moment of corruption. From this it is understood that Mrs. Malltezi gave this money and her mother benefited. I am very sorry for the question I am going to ask: Are the children who have benefited from this money your family members? So those who have benefited from the cure are your family members?

Malltezi: Of course they are not my family members. This is a one-board foundation, largely inherited, but also changed in composition over the years. The day after tomorrow Liri Berisha leaves the foundation and someone else continues the mission. The money went to specific children specified by the foundation. SPAK has never asked about these things to conclude./ CNA
