The Institute of Statistics (INSTAT) will now be headed by Lantona Sado.
Lado has been appointed to the position of Director General of the Institute of Statistics, effective January 7, 2026.
Sado has over 20 years of experience in official statistics. She started her career at INSTAT where she worked initially as a specialist and then as a unit manager for national and international statistical projects, directly contributing to the implementation of major social studies, such as HBS, DHS, MICS, LSMS.
After completing her doctorate at the Sapienza University of Rome, Sado has participated in several international cooperation projects as a manager and technical expert, also gaining experience in the areas of administrative and financial management.
Her most recent assignment was as Resident Twinning Advisor for the EU-funded project on “Strengthening the Palestinian National Statistical System by Keeping Pace with New Developments.” /CNA
