The lawyers of the former prime minister Sali Berisha and his son-in-law Jamarbër Malltezi submitted on Saturday the documents to the Special Prosecutor's Office, regarding the 500-page investigative material for the privatization of the former sports club "Partizani".

The legal defense of Jamarbër Malltez has made 250 pages of statements, where it is claimed that there is no criminal offense. As for the assets, the lawyers claim that they are all from legal sources.

The businessman Fatmir Bektashi also made setbacks, where in a material of 15 pages, his legal defense objected to several points related to this investigation.

The financier Andia Pustina and Xhimi Begeja also filed their objections within the 10-day deadline from the notification of the charge.

The materials have been submitted by mail to the Special Structure, while SPAK is expected to pass the file for trial to the Special Court.

This court will have 10 days to appoint the judge through the lottery as well as the preliminary hearing.

The investigations for the "Partizani" file were closed on September 25, where SPAK called the defendants to communicate the charges to each one./ CNA
