ANKSI's 7.2 million euro tender for hardware-centric infrastructure fails

The tender worth 7.2 million euros for the implementation of hardware-centric infrastructure has failed for the second time. The National Agency of the Information Society announced the cancellation of the large contract on the grounds that no suitable offer was submitted in the competition. This is the second time that the fat tender has failed for the same reason.

For the first time, the tender for hardware-centric infrastructure was announced in March of this year. According to the terms of reference, its purpose was to modernize the digital infrastructure that processes public services. According to official data, currently over 1250 electronic services are served on the e-albania portal and 255 government institutions are integrated into the government network.

"In order to meet the current needs, but also to create strong bases to cope with the anticipated growing needs, for processing resources based on the SDDC Software Defined DataCenter Architecture, AKSHI seeks to modernize the hardware and software infrastructure that support the platforms, services and electronic systems, which currently serve citizens, business and state institutions themselves," the tender documents said.

The object of this project is precisely the supply, installation and configuration of such a platform, consisting of hardware and software components to be used by the component systems of the Governmental Interaction Platform," the document states.

But in July, AKSHI canceled the tender, as according to it no suitable offer was presented in the competition. The procedure was immediately re-announced in July, but the second time the tender has failed again./ Kapitali.al
