Iranian diplomats burned the documents/ Witness: A man threw the papers into a rusty barrel

The prestigious media "Reuters" has written an article about the decision of the Albanian government to cut off relations with Iran.

"Iranian diplomats burned the documents in the early hours of Thursday morning, hours before leaving the country after Albania severed diplomatic relations with Iran, accusing the Islamic Republic of a cyber attack in July," Reuters reports.

In its article, "Reuters" also includes the statement of a witness, who spoke about the burning of documents after the ultimatum to leave Albania.

A witness told "Reuters" that he saw "a man inside the embassy throwing papers into a rusty barrel and flames lit up the walls of the three-story embassy."

Washington, Albania's closest ally, also blamed Iran for the attack and promised to "take further action to hold Iran accountable for actions that threaten the security of a US ally." /CNA.al
