97 MPs approved today in the Assembly the increase in their salaries and that of the ministers, an increase that will come into effect from April 1.

The well-known doctor, Tritan Kalo, reacted a little while ago to the salary increase, who mentions the fact that teachers will receive 7% more salary, MPs 98% and the administration 70%.

Through a status on social networks, Kalo says that pensioners have been left behind, who are only given some pre-electoral bonus.

He wants to reduce the number of deputies and employees of the administration and give this money to pensioners.

"From April 1 onwards, educators will have a 7% salary increase, Parliamentarians 98%, Administration 70% and indexation every two years... As for pensioners, let them enjoy some pre-electoral bonus... Why not we reduce the number of deputies and public administration, when in relation to the population, compared to similar countries in Europe in terms of the number of inhabitants (2,500,000 are, or are they not in Albania), we have more deputies and administration employees, and add the value of their salaries to the pensioners' budget?
