A denunciation by activist Aurel Kujtimi about the investments made in 2019 in building number 6 of the Student City has arrived at the CNA editorial office.

The activist, through lawsuits submitted to SPAK and the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, accuses the Director of Dormitories, Anila Shehu, of abusing the reconstruction funds by abusing her duties.

According to the activist, in the official documents it appears that the reconstruction of a room in dormitory no. 6 cost 10,000 euros, but from observations on the ground and referring to the reference prices for furniture and equipment, the investment in a room actually cost 1.36 million ALL.

According to Kujtim, a total of 12.1 thousand euros have been invested in this dormitory, while in the official documents the total value of the investment is 953,263 euros.

"Spurred by this fact that in the official answers we received from "Student Residence No. 1", building number 6 stands out, which has been completely reconstructed with the principle of energy efficiency according to the same program with the support of the Turkish Government through the "Agency Turkish for cooperation and coordination" TIKA which cost 953,263 euros. "SPAK declared incompetence within 24 hours, handing it over to the Tirana prosecutor's office, where the case was taken over by prosecutor Bledar Valikaj, the husband of Ermonela Felaj, who is a socialist deputy and a close friend of Erion Veliaj, since the dormitories are subordinate to the Municipality Tirana. It is not being investigated for political behind-the-scenes", said Kujtimi in an interview for CNA.

The file of 7 months is under investigation by the prosecutor Bledar Valikaj.
