Journalist Blendi Fevziu has denounced a criminal act where he shows that the historical inscriptions in Grama Bay were deliberately damaged.

Fevziu immediately denounced this act after receiving a video showing that almost 1,500 inscriptions that are 2,400 years old have been damaged.

The journalist says on social networks that this is a crime against our heritage and history.

" A video that was sent to me yesterday proves that the historical inscriptions of Grama Bay have been deliberately damaged. Attempts to find out when this happened were unsuccessful.

It will likely meet at a time when there are no visitors and no services, but whenever it happened, it is a crime against our heritage and history.

Almost 1500 inscriptions of Grama are 2400 years old. They prove the important geographical and historical position of Albania; testify to the presence of important world figures in this area and are also an important historical attraction", writes journalist Blendi Fevziu.

Furthermore, the journalist emphasizes that the monument that survived for 24 centuries is not escaping the vandalism of irresponsible persons.

Fevziu called on the authorities to find a way to preserve the historical monument.

"But the monument that survived for 24 centuries seems to be unable to escape the irresponsible vandal's hand. The authorities must find a way to preserve such a monument, which is frankly too exposed and difficult to observe.

That damage is not just to a monument, it is a damage to each of us. We will be ashamed of the children that something that was preserved for 24 centuries, we cannot preserve it for 24 years", emphasizes Fevziu./ CNA
