Two apartments damaged in Selenica/12 families evacuated

In the village of Vajzë in the municipality of Selenica, as a result of heavy rainfall, landslides have occurred, damaging two homes.

The road has become impassable for vehicles, while fortunately the residents of the two damaged houses have not suffered any injuries.

Police are on the ground and are monitoring vehicle traffic, as this road connects several villages in the Sevaster administrative unit.

Meanwhile, the Vjosa River has overflowed its banks, flooding the livestock market. The water level has reached about 7 meters. Residents of the endangered areas have been notified and 12 families have been evacuated as a precautionary measure.
