Weather situation in Shkodra Region/ Water up to 40 cm, 15 families stranded

The territory of Shkodra District is one of the most affected by the heavy rainfall of recent days.

In the territory of the Municipality of Shkodra, the rainfall has stopped for several hours and so far no emergency situations have been reported. There is water in some areas of agricultural land and in residential yards in the same areas. Working groups continue monitoring and field work, especially in areas with higher risk.

In the Oboti area, the main road is flooded with water of about 30–40 cm, which only allows traffic for high-rise vehicles. There is also water in some residential yards and on agricultural land.

In the Municipality of Vau Dejës, moderate rainfall was recorded last evening. The Glina Stream is showing a tendency to decrease in water level. The Gjadri Stream has also marked a decrease in water level and the situation continues to be monitored by Civil Emergency structures. In the Bushat Administrative Unit, in the villages of Mali i Jushit and Hoten, it has been reported that about 15 families are stranded due to the presence of water, while local structures are on standby and closely monitoring the situation on the ground.

In the Municipality of Malësi e Madhe, low-intensity rainfall was recorded overnight, with no reported problems. The situation appears calm and under continuous monitoring. In the village of Kamicë, the dry stream has been diverted from the road.

In the territory of the Fushë-Arrëz Municipality, low-intensity rainfall continues, while as a result of the heavy rainfall of the previous days, landslides, rockfalls and the presence of water have been recorded on several rural roads. The roads remain open to traffic and work is underway to clean and restore the situation to normal.

In the Municipality of Puka, intense rainfall accompanied by strong winds is currently continuing, with no problems or civil emergencies reported so far. The situation is being monitored continuously.

According to data from the Lezha Irrigation and Drainage Directorate, the water level at the Buna Bridge is 1.80 m, the level of Lake Shkodra is at 7.7 m and the level in Dajç is at 6.2 m. /CNA
