During the burial ceremony of the genius of Albanian letters, Ismail Kadare, the publisher of his works, Bujar Hudhri, accused that the ambulance that went to the writer's house to transport him to the hospital, lacked the equipment that could keep him alive.

"They took him in the elevator, he was almost frozen. They put him in the ambulance, very simple, without equipment, we barely crossed the streets of Tirana, although the sirens were screaming until we arrived at the emergency room of the Health and Medical Center, and as soon as the door opened, you could see the mobilization of the doctors", said Bujar Hudhri.

The director of the National Emergency Center, Skënder Brataj, reacted to these statements and stated that everything was done according to the medical protocol.

Brataj said that the ambulances in Tirana are new and equipped with all the tools.

"Mr. Hudhri should not have had glasses because the defibrillator was attached to the patient and the medical team that did the cardiac massage to the hospital, as far as I know, came later after finding him at the scene, they acted according to every protocol to save his life Mr. Kadare.

I don't know if the publisher is able to evaluate a team of doctors or an ambulance. But what I would say is that since Kadare has been in Albania for 4 years, he has had the health team of the Ministry of Health at his disposal, between the residence in Qerret and in Tirana, where we have been present whenever necessary. Personally, I had such a relationship that I was present for everything.

From the moment the call was made, the team that is located at the health center no. 8 behind his house within minutes. They found him under arrest. A second team was sent to the scene thinking that immediate transport might be necessary. The first team came down and escorted him to QSUT.
