Arben Ramkaj, criticism of the government/ "Political will dictated both
Tributes to Ismail Kadare

The head of the Interfaith Cooperation Center in Elbasan, Arben Ramkaj, has reacted regarding the tributes developed in TKOB for the writer Ismail Kadare.

Ramkaj criticizes the placement of the image of Mother Teresa in the tribute, while saying that Kadare was taken from this world as a Catholic monk.

He declares that this was done against the wishes of the corporal of Albanian letters, who, according to him, had given the impression of a layman who respected beliefs equally.

Ramkaj points out that today it was shown that the political will dictates both heaven and hell, not knowing that the Abrahamic canonical codes have divine rules even for the latter.

Full statement:

Today's funeral of our great writer Ismail Kadare reminded me of the great Russian writer Leo Tolstoy, who came as a devout Christian, and left as a heretical "monk". The opposite happened with Ismail Kadare, he was a devout "heretic" and fled as a Catholic "monk". I think he didn't leave this world as a Catholic monk because he wanted to and if he wanted something like that he would be respected by me even more.

He left as such because the decisions about funerals and about the values ??they represent are taken by the Prime Minister. Here's what he said.

Rama said that the hall where the tributes were held was set up for a performance tonight at dinner, while after receiving the news of his death and the preparation of the funeral ceremony, it was decided that the scene along with the constructed image of Mother Teresa would not be removed. This is because according to the prime minister, Kadare "under the shadow of his beloved saint, he would feel protected by all those who did not love him."

This decision, which has to do with the issues of heaven and hell, is necessarily not in the hands of the religious sage, in this case the prime minister, nor the will of the state, but it is a matter that belongs to the divine, and the development of funerals is an a priori matter of doctrine and the religious affiliation of the deceased. Today's funeral reminded me of the episode from Balzac's novel entitled The Mass of the Atheist or the agnostic and atheist characters who participate in the prayer morning in the USA. They don't participate because they believe, they simply participate to make a few more friends and gain the sympathy of influential fellow believers in the world.

I had no idea that the power and position of the prime minister would go deep into the labyrinths of religious doctrines and make the burial of the Albanian writer who never publicly declared his faith controversial.

I think it was precisely his desire to belong to everyone as a layman who respects faiths equally. But here the political will dictates both heaven and hell, not knowing that the canonical Abrahamic codes have divine rules for the last follow-up as well. Finally, condolences to the family, the rest is quickly forgotten./ CNA
