"Transparency Board, just for make-up"/ Bozdo: Here's how much

DP MP Eno Bozdo spoke today about the increase in oil prices in the country. Bozdo accused the government of not taking any measures to ease the situation for citizens.

In a live broadcast with Syri TV, the MP said that there is no EU government that has not taken measures such as reducing excise duty or oil tax. Among other things, he described the entry into force of the Transparency Board as a "makeup", according to him, to hide the profits that the government receives from this price increase.

"The government has no desire to take concrete measures to ease the price. What is different in this case is the fact that the fiscal structure is very burdened in our country. For 13 years, the government has been taking a lot of money from taxpayers for the sake of oil. There is no EU government that has not taken measures such as excise duty reductions, tax reductions or fiscal packages to ease the situation for citizens. We have the Transparency Board as if for make-up. The real scoundrel here is the government. Greedy because even under these conditions it will not consider that it could lose something of itself.

"Just from the increase in the price of oil for the sake of the crisis, the government pockets undeserved profits. For every liter of oil, the government pockets 80 old lek. Even this value that it considers undeserved, the government will not give back to the citizens. These are additional revenues, their removal does not affect the structure of revenues or what they are. First, we have the most taxed oil in Europe and perhaps in the world, second, the government is not only not losing but also winning ," said Bozdo. /CNA
