Journalist Blendi Fevziu has reacted to the blocking of "Klan" and "A2CNN" television groups at customs, with the claim that they need permission from the Greek Foreign Ministry to shoot on Greek soil.

Fevziu declares that it is intolerable and scandalous for an EU member state to block journalists at the border.

He says that Greece's action today was primitive and violates every principle of media freedom.

"It is unacceptable, intolerable, scandalous and absolutely primitive for an EU member state to block at the border journalists who are performing their duty. It is intolerable that an EU country violates the right to information, violates the human right, violates the basic right of movement of every Albanian citizen. You can have such events, delays in dictatorial countries, but for an EU country to ask journalists for a letter from the Foreign Ministry, or a cover letter from the Foreign Ministry, is to violate every principle of media freedom and you ask journalists to be put under political tutelage. Therefore, I insist once again that what is happening on the Greek border is neither more nor less a primitive gesture of a state in which anger and resentment dominates European rights and principles", emphasizes Fevziu./ CNA
