Begaj message to the delegation with mayors of Arbëresh municipalities /
 
The President of the Republic, Sh.TZ Bajram Begaj, received today a delegation composed of mayors of Arbëresh municipalities.

During the meeting, President Begaj spoke about the excellent model that the historical Arbëresh diaspora has given in preserving the Albanian language, traditions and culture.

"You have managed to maintain very well the balance between integration and identity preservation for about six centuries," said President Begaj.
 
President Begaj also focused on the role of the people of Arbëresh in preserving and inheriting the Albanian language. "The love and dedication of the people of Arbëresh to inherit our language and culture between generations has enabled the establishment of Albanian language chairs at the University of Rome, Naples, Cozenza and Palermo, which have become important centers of education."
 
The Head of State assured the attendees that the Albanian state will continue to pay due attention to the people of Arbëresh as an inherent part of the Albanian nation./ CNA.al
