Cooperation in several fields/ The Council of Ministers approves the draft law

The Council of Ministers approved at today's meeting the draft law for the ratification of the agreement with the Italian government for cooperation in several fields.

The Albanian and Italian governments have agreed to strategic cooperation in healthcare, energy, environment, security and defense industry, migration management, education, innovation, diaspora, economic transformation and smart growth, according to the text attached to this law.

Approved draft law:

DRAFT LAW ON THE RATIFICATION OF THE AGREEMENT, BETWEEN THE COUNCIL OF MINISTERS OF THE REPUBLIC OF ALBANIA AND THE GOVERNMENT OF THE REPUBLIC OF ITALY, ON STRATEGIC COOPERATION IN HEALTHCARE, ENERGY, ENVIRONMENT, SECURITY AND DEFENSE INDUSTRY, MIGRATION MANAGEMENT, EDUCATION, INNOVATION, DIASPORA, ECONOMIC TRANSFORMATION AND SMART GROWTH

In accordance with Articles 78, 83, point 1, and 121, point 1, of the Constitution, upon the proposal of the Council of Ministers, the Assembly of the Republic of Albania

DECIDED:

Article 1

Ratification of the agreement, between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the government of the Republic of Italy, on strategic cooperation in healthcare, energy, environment, security and defense industry, migration management, education, innovation, diaspora, economic transformation and smart growth, according to the text attached to this law.

Article 2

The Council of Ministers is charged with determining the rules and procedures for concluding special cooperation agreements between Albanian public entities and public and/or private entities of Italy in specific fields, projects and programs, in accordance with the provisions of the agreement under Article 1 of this law.

This law enters into force 15 days after its publication in the "Official Gazette". /CNA
