Villas of Lulzim Basha are one of the most denounced issues in the media. CNA has repeatedly published facts about how Basha denounced the oligarchs and after some time stopped mentioning their names and randomly moved to their villas.

Such was the case of businessman Agron Papuli, whom Basha had described as an oligarch and in October 2019 he moved to his villa complex in "Long Hill", on the outskirts of Tirana. Another luxury villa is the one in Gjirin e Lalzi.

The taking of these villas by the oligarchs was also denounced by the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

In 2020, he raised a series of accusations against Lulzim Basha, then the leader of the opposition. Veliaj accused Basha that at the time of the pandemic he had taken 4 villas, while at that time CNA had also taken Luli's villas.

The socialist mayor articulated these accusations several times, while in the same month Basha sued him in court for defamation.

Basha denied the accusations, as he always said that he doesn't have a villa, lives in an apartment, rented it and made such excuses.

"I don't have any cottage. I am renting for family reasons which I have explained to you. Not that I didn't have a chance because I didn't enter politics poor. I have nothing to hide", declared Basha on January 14, 2021.

The next court session took place yesterday, in which Basha and his lawyer did not appear, causing the GJKKO to dismiss the case.

In the event that Basha would not have these villas, he would have to face Veliaj and punish the mayor of Tirana for defamation.

But Luli didn't even deserve to go, so he didn't even go to court. Which means with his non-appearance, Luli has finally admitted publicly that he is the owner of the villas at "Long Hill".

CNA denounced them, the mayor reacted, now Luli did not go to court. Luli has not yet accepted the truth.
